Training objective that learns vector fields connecting noise to data — diffusion's cousin.

Definition

Flow matching trains a continuous-time vector field whose ODE transports samples from a simple prior to the data distribution. It often trains faster than score-based diffusion with the same quality and underpins recent state-of-the-art image and video models.
